Chondroitin Sulfate

What is my source of Chondroitin Sulfate?  I’ve been getting that question recently.

It turns out that on a competitors site they were scaring people by saying they would never buy chondroitin from a Bovine source.  So I answered:
If you are questioning the fallacy posted on another website
about not taking chondroitin from Bovine due to a risk of Bovine spongiform
encephalopathy, or BSE, then you should know that BSE is only possible from
Brain or Nerve tissue from a cow and neither of those is used to make
Chondroitin.  It is a scare tactic pure and simple. While others derive their Chondroitin from Ocean animals, maybe they should
talk about the lead and mercury contents in them which are both highly
toxic.  And oh, Chondroitin has only been used for about the past 19 years (since the late 80’s in the chiropractic profession; way ahead of anyone else) and the majority is derived from good old USA Beef, without any health issues arising from it.
